Enjoying the view is a full time occupation at the Whidbey Island Beach House.  The water, the mainland, and adjacent islands can be watched for hours as the ferries move back and forth.  At night, the city lights from Everett and Mukilteo are beautiful reflected in the water.  Did we mention mountains?  Whidbey Island is in Puget Sound, not in the mountains.  Nevertheless, the view of the Cascade Mountains is spectacular over the water.  View Mount Baker to the North, distant Mount Rainer to the South, and most everything in between.
